Free and Pro — in plain words
The Gateway is free with no account. Free is a real vault. Pro ($8) is library infrastructure: files, vectors, backups, extra runtimes. You still pay LLM tokens.

Money talk, made simple. There are two plans. The free one is a real vault, not a crippled trial. YOUR AI AGENT can read public Bommels through the Agent Gateway on any plan, including with no account at all.
The short version
- Free — a cloud-synced vault across your devices, for up to 100 bookmarks, with no file attachments. No credit card needed. Connect YOUR AI AGENT via the Gateway (public read), pair it with a key to save into your library, or paste a model key for in-app chat.
- Pro ($8/mo) — library infrastructure: unlimited bookmarks, Firestore + Storage, vector search, sync, backups, and the hub that lets extra runtimes talk to this library. Completions are still yours.
You can start free forever. Upgrade when you outgrow 100 bookmarks, want files, or want the full library (attachments, vectors, backups).
There is also this device only: no account, honey stays in this browser. That is not the Free cloud library. A paired Grok cannot see it. Details: Where a Bommel can live.
YOUR AI AGENT (both plans)
Bommel Bot does not sell you an AI model. The usual path is the Agent Gateway: YOUR AI AGENT reads public Bommels. Optional: pair it so it can save into your library.
Separately, the in-app chat can use a local model or a cloud key in Settings. Once something can think, the librarian can auto-title, tag, summarize, and file. No model connected? Everything still works. You just do the filing yourself.
The platform owner never pays completion tokens. Pro is not an LLM meter.
Free — a real, cloud-synced vault
The Free plan gives every signed-in, verified account a cloud-backed library:
- Save up to 100 bookmarks, synced across devices.
- Connect your own AI so the in-app chat can title, tag, and file things for you.
- Pair one runtime with an API key or MCP (same library, not a second account).
- Browse and search your whole library, your way.
- Set in-app reminders.
- Publish and share from your @handle.
- Save by messaging a bot. Bot saves count toward your 100.
Free does not include file attachments or backup and export. Those are Pro.
Pro — the library, not our brain
Pro is $8 a month. What you buy is the library:
- Unlimited bookmarks — the 100 cap is gone.
- File attachments — images, PDFs, documents, and code, in the cloud (100 MB per account).
- Vectors / semantic search on that library.
- Backup and export.
- Hub pairing for extra runtimes, plus chat-channel save.
YOUR AI AGENT still spends that model's tokens. We store the honey.
