Ready? This takes about a minute, and there's nothing to install. Let's save your very first thing together.
The big picture
The home page is a chat with me. You type or paste something in the box, and I file it. That's the whole trick. No forms, no fuss.
Your first save
- Open the home page — that's the chat with me.
- Find any link you like right now. A YouTube video, a news article, a recipe, a shop — anything.
- Paste it into the box and send it.
- Wait a second or two.
That's it! I'll read the link, write a tidy title and a short summary, pick a few tags, and pop it onto the right shelf. You'll see it appear, all neat.
Want to add your own words? Type them in the same message as the link — like gift idea for mum https://example.com. I'll keep your note with the bookmark and use it to find things later. Now try finding it
Here's the fun bit. In the same box, ask me for what you just saved — but don't use the exact title. Describe it. Something like "that video I just saved" or "the gift idea". I'll bring it right back.
This is the whole point of me: you don't have to remember where things are. You just have to remember roughly what they were.
What next?
- Save a few more things over the next few days. The more you feed me, the more useful I get.
- When you're ready, add notes and reasons to your saves.
- Have a document to keep safe? Learn about saving photos, PDFs, and voice notes.
Where to next
- Hi, I'm Bommel — here's what I do
- Save a link and I'll file it for you
- Just ask me where your stuff is
Lovely. You've got the hang of it already.
