Comments turn a shared bookmark into a little conversation — questions under a recipe, tips under a travel list, kind words under your work. And because it's your page, you're always in charge of that conversation.
What it is
Every bookmark you publish can have a comments thread at the bottom of its page. You decide whether it's open, and you can tidy it up whenever you like: remove a comment, or block someone from commenting on your entries at all.
Comments are off by default — nothing appears until you choose to open them.
Turning comments on or off
There are two levels, and the entry-level setting always wins:
- Global default — in Settings → Comments, flip one switch to decide whether comments are on or off for all your entries that you haven't set individually.
- Per entry — open any published bookmark's page and use the Comments on/off button at the top of the comments section. This overrides the global default for just that entry.
Think of the global switch as the house rule, and the per-entry switch as the sign on one particular door. The door sign always wins.
You can also set any entry back to "Default" (follow the global rule) from the list in Settings → Comments.
Removing a comment
On the entry's page, find the comment and click Delete. It's gone right away. You can remove any comment on your own entries — no reason needed.
Blocking (and unblocking) someone
If a person keeps posting things you don't want, click Block on one of their comments. That does two things:
- Removes that comment.
- Stops that person from commenting on any of your entries.
Changed your mind? Blocked people appear in a small Blocked from commenting list in the comments section — click Unblock to let them back in.
Good to know
- Links are never clickable. Even if someone pastes a web address, it shows as plain text — never a live link. This keeps spammers away.
- Replies keep conversations tidy: click Reply under any comment to answer it. Replies appear indented beneath the original, and replying to someone drops their @handle in for you so it's clear who you're talking to.
- Likes are simple: a heart and a little counter, so people can show appreciation without typing.
- Anyone signed in with a verified email can comment when you've opened a thread — they don't need their own public page.
- Only you ever see the moderation buttons. Visitors just see the conversation.
